Mike Watkins is Head of Retailer and Business and Insight for Nielsen UK and is responsible for commercial development with food, non food and e commerce retailers.
He is also a member of the Nielsen Global Thought Leadership team and a lead contributor to white papers and regularly shares his viewpoints with Nielsen clients and the media.
Before talking on this role he was Senior Manager for Retailer Services at Nielsen with responsibility for strategic planning, and for leading consultancy projects in food retailing in UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Nielsen, Mike worked for a number of Co-operative retailers with management positions within buying, marketing and merchandising, having graduated from Loughborough University with a Politics and Economics degree.
Away from business, he is a keen F1 fan and is married with one daughter and lives in Northamptonshire.
